At Ridgecrest, we believe that having a strong recovery program works to build and maintain a full life, free from drugs and alcohol, regardless of the age at which one makes the decision to become clean and sober.
We understand that everyone’s recovery journey is different, and that adolescents have different developmental needs than recovering adults. Most importantly, we believe that recovery supersedes everything else and must always be the first priority.
Although we do not believe that relapse is inevitable, we remain mindful that it is a possibility. We use weekly drug screenings as an extra safety measure for our students and their families. In the event of a relapse, we use a restorative discipline model for support, rather than a punitive one, while protecting other students during the process.
